Sweet 46 and never been kissed

by Jeff Price | Sep 10, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Basic Success Principles, Life & Career Success

Okay, well I was about 15 or 16 and used that ‘never been kissed,’ line to get Lindsay (I’ll keep her last name private for her protection) to kiss me one night in front of my parents house. She was dating one of the popular guys and I guess decided...

How do I get Hired

by Jeff Price | Sep 9, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Basic Success Principles, Life & Career Success

At the beginning of every semester I ask the students in my aviation job targeting class “why should I hire you?” I can usually make it through a room of about 25-30 students with only one or two getting the right answer. The vast majority give me some...

by Jeff Price | Sep 7, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Basic Success Principles, Life & Career Success

We all experience happy times, and we all experience sad times. There are times when life is good and times when life is bad. No one is immune to these facts of life. But, author and speaker Mark Sanborn, in his book, Up, Down or Sideways: How to Succeed when times...

Are you Ready?

by Jeff Price | Sep 4, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Basic Success Principles, Life & Career Success

Magician Criss Angel’s catchphrase is “Are you Ready?”  So lets ask ourselves? Are we ready? Are we ready for the time in our life when we are up, down or sideways? No matter where we’re at in our lives right now, whether we’re riding...

Peaks and Valleys

by Jeff Price | Aug 6, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Basic Success Principles, Life & Career Success

As anyone who is ever read any of Spencer Johnson’s work knows that whatever the topic of the book is is not literally what it’s about. It is always a metaphor for a mental change that you need to make. Peaks and Valleys: Making Good and Bad times Work for...

Fred the Magician

by Jeff Price | Jun 24, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Basic Success Principles, Life & Career Success

So when I was in college and working at Target in the “Sound and Photo,” department, I was, for a short period of time, a Fred. It can happy and when it does, being a Fred is like being a magician. You can change someone’s day or even their future...

A year later, the bill proposing to abolish the TSA is sitting in committee taking a very long nap. This is the way Congress quietly disposes of ideas it doesn’t want to touch (S.1180 – Abolish TSA Act of 2025 has been in the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation since March 27). The bill raises an important question: if the TSA were dismantled, what would replace it? The blog article below, written last year, still offers some useful perspective as you consider your own position on the issue.
