You don’t have time to think up there, if you think you’re dead

by Jeff Price | Dec 12, 2019 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Brain Matter, Life & Career Success

Ever had a tough time making a decision? Of course, we all have. Wouldn’t it just be easier to be Mr. Spock and make every decision based on logic? Unfortunately, that doesn’t work either. Since I am a person that often cannot decide what to eat for dinner...

“Obviously a major malfunction”

by Jeff Price | Oct 5, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Brain Matter, Life & Career Success

On January 29, 1986 I turned on the TV as the Space Shuttle Challenger climbed gracefully and powerfully into the sky, then watched as it exploded. The public affairs officer narrating the launch said those fateful words heard ’round the world: “Obviously...

The Habit That Changes Everything

by Jeff Price | Oct 3, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Brain Matter, Life & Career Success

We live in an interesting world. As a species, we are pre-disposed to follow the person who seems to know what’s going on. It’s probably a survival instinct. We often will see a visionary leader, someone who is inspirational and colorful and full of...

by Jeff Price | Oct 1, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Brain Matter, Life & Career Success

It seems the term “hot mess” has made it into our cultural vocabulary so in that spirit, let me say that our lives are a hot mess of our habits.  Depending on your habits, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. I imagine its a little bit of both. Charles...

Great Artists Steal

by Jeff Price | Jul 7, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Brain Matter, Life & Career Success

Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs once said, ““Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal.” Turns out great artists also hang out together and steal from each other. So here’s a simple question, why do people who want to be actors or actresses go off to...

How did John Lennon imagine, “Imagine?”

by Jeff Price | Jul 2, 2013 | 50 Books in 50 Weeks, Brain Matter, Life & Career Success

Where does our creativity come from? We know its somewhere inside our brain but how do we access it? Wouldn’t it be great if we could just turn on a switch and be creative? Sort of a creativity on command? I love the song “Imagine,” by the late John...

This is the way Congress quietly disposes of ideas it doesn’t want to touch (S.1180 – Abolish TSA Act of 2025 has been in the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation since March 27). The bill raises an important question: if the TSA were dismantled, what would replace it? The blog article below, written last year, still offers some useful perspective as you consider your own position on the issue.
