Jeff Price, aviation security specialist and owner of Leading Edge Strategies of Arvada, CO has been appointed as a Board Member for the Safe Skies Alliance. The National Safe Skies Alliance (http://www.sskies.org/) is an FAA-funded, non-profit, membership-based organization that serves aviation by providing impartial and effective testing and evaluation of safety and security for airports.

Jeff is full Professor at the Metropolitan State University of Denver in the Department of Aviation and Aerospace Science, and the owner of Leading Edge Strategies, a top aviation management training and consulting company. He provides training on, interviews for, and expert comments on: Aviation Security, Airport Security, Airport Operations and Management, Aviation and Travel Industry and Aviation Safety. He is often seen on CNN, Good Morning America, Nightly News and countless others.

As the lead Airport Security Coordinator trainer for the American Association of Airport Executives, he also drafted the Airport Certified Employee-Security program body of knowledge and served as lead author of AAAE’s Certified Member body of knowledge, which encompasses the baseline information for an individual to become an Accredited Airport Executive. Jeff has trained over 1,000 Airport Security Coordinators, over 800 TSA Transportation Security Inspectors, and hundreds of others in airport management and operations.
Jeff is considered one of the nations and world’s experts on aviation security, lecturing at conferences such as the Airport Law Enforcement Agencies Network, the Air Line Pilots Association, the American Association of Airport Executives and others. He has been published numerous times in Aviation Security International magazine, Airport magazine, Plane & Pilot and other publications. He has also authored two chapters on aviation security for two other texts on airport management and on international aviation security practices and is frequently called upon to comment in print and broadcast media outlets on aviation issues.

He is honored to be appointed to the National Safe Skies Alliance Board of Directors.
